yield gel

yield gel
The mobility of the undigested DNA indicates the quality of the isolated DNA. Undigested DNA is applied to a 15-cm agarose gel, size separated by electrophoresis and stained with ethidium bromide. This gel is to aid in assessing the amount of total DNA recovered from a sample, as well as the state of degradation of the DNA.
